Trying out a new tool that may be of interest to our team... it's Openator.
This is a great way to burn up any unused OpenAI credits quickly but dang it's impressive! It is a wrapper to puppeter with AI driving it. If you're not familiar with this tool, it basically allows you to programatically navigate websites. What Openator does is it allows you to set a goal, generates a dynamic sub-goals to achieve this goal and navigates around the internet. Openator 'reads' the rendered website, makes choices, reevaluates it's subgoals and repeats until goal is reached.
What does this mean in practice? Well tell it to buy you an item from amazon and it will navigate around amazon site finding your product and add it to your shopping cart. Pretty sure if I gave it my card details it will actually buy it too.
It doesn't have access to your cookies or login info so gives a layer of security but does mean captchas pop up everywhere. What I was blown away by was this openator actually solved the captchas!
A little more testing and it shows it can solve captcha v1's easily, v2's however (the ones where the tile fades out and replaced with new tiles) it struggled with due to the speed needed.
That said, it's an incredible proof of concept and shows where this tech is going to be in a few months.
... oh and by the way, OpenAI have announced their own version for US Pro customers called "Operator"
Exciting times...
